1J22 Soft Magnetic Alloy
1J22 is a soft magnetic alloy made of iron, cobalt, and vanadium, known for its high saturation magnetic induction, which can reach up to 2.4T, the highest among existing soft magnetic materials. The alloy also has a Curie point of up to 980°C and a saturation magnetostriction coefficient ranging from 60 to 100 × 10⁻⁶. However, due to its low electrical resistivity (0.27μΩ·m), it is not suitable for use at high frequencies.

1J22 Heat Treatment and Delivery Condition
For cold-rolled strip samples, the material is heated with the furnace to 850-900°C and held for 3-6 hours. It is then cooled at a rate of 50°C/h to 750°C, followed by a faster cooling rate of 180-240°C/h to 300°C. The annealing medium is hydrogen with a dew point no higher than -40°C.
For forged billet samples, they are heated to 1100°C ± 20°C, held for 3-6 hours, then cooled at a rate of 50-100°C/h to 850°C, held for 3 hours, and then cooled at 30°C/h to 700°C. Finally, they are cooled at 200°C/h to 300°C, also using hydrogen with a dew point no higher than -40°C as the annealing medium.
For materials requiring high magnetic induction, low coercive force, and high rectangular ratio in low magnetic fields, the sample is heated with the furnace to 850°C ± 10°C, held for 4 hours, cooled at a rate of 50°C/h to 750°C, held for 3 hours, and then cooled at 200°C/h to 300°C. A direct current magnetic field of 1240-1600A/m is applied during the holding phase at 750°C. The annealing medium is hydrogen with a dew point no higher than -40°C.
1J22 is available in cold-rolled strip, cold-drawn wire, hot-rolled (forged) flat material, bars, and non-standard forgings. It is melted using vacuum induction furnaces.
